This is a web-based interface for genomic data from marine organisms as well as bioinformatic data analysis tools. Species and project data are contributed by users from locations around the world.

The Marine Genomics project is an inclusive organization that welcomes all investigators who are interested in applying genomic approaches to furthering our knowledge of marine organisms.

What's New! -- July 1st 2008
The upgraded 'read-only' MarineGenomics.org is unveiled! The Marine Genomics Project is currently undergoing an overhaul. Project user logins and data contributions are disabled during the upgrade. Improved features of ths new site include:

• Removal of low quality sequences
• New unigene assemblies of all projects and species
• New putative blast annotations and GO term assignments to contigs
• Per species and custom GO term bar graphs
• New search too
• Overhaul of underlying database and look-and-feel of the site
• Incorporation of GMOD tools such as GBrowse, and the chado database schema
