The Marine Genomics Project in Charleston is based at the Hollings Marine Laboratory and reflects a cooperative effort between faculty at the Medical University of South Carolina, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the College of Charleston, and Clemson University (Clemson University Genomics Institute and the Center for Computing and Information Technology).
The development of the Marine Genomics project and this web-site has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the US Department of Agriculture, the Office of Naval Research, the National Institutes of Health, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, South Carolina Sea Grant, the College of Charleston, the Marine Biomedicine and Environmental Sciences Center of the Medical University of South Carolina, and by the NOAA Center of Excellence in Oceans and Human Health at the Hollings Marine Laboratory (CCEHBR, Center for Coastal Ocean Sciences).
